  Beyond Borders: What Exactly is KECOSA ? The Kericho County Students Association (KECOSA) is the premier umbrella body for all students at Kisii University who hail from Kericho County. Contrary to common misconceptions, KECOSA is a strictly non-tribal organization. It is defined by the geographical boundaries of Kericho’s sub-counties—including Belgut, Ainamoi, Sigowet/Soin, Kipkelion East, Kipkelion West, and Bureti—rather than ethnic identity. According to the KECOSA Constitution (2026), the association is built on the foundation of "unity in diversity," ensuring that every resident of Kericho, regardless of their tribe, finds a welcoming community.
